Match Prediction (MI vs KKR)

MI has had an upper hand over KKR ever since the IPL started back in 2008. The five-time champions have won 24 out of the 35 games contested between the two sides. At the Wankhede Stadium specifically, it is a one-sided affair with MI winning 9 games out of 11, and the Knights have won just 2 games. 

MI are a much more balanced side with quality in each area of the game, be it batting or bowling. KKR, on the other hand, are usually known for being heavily reliant on spinners like Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine. On a Wankhede surface where flat, true bounce tends to neutralise spin, KKR’s bowling could be exposed.

That said, never underestimate KKR. Cameron Green at No. 4 is a dangerous wildcard, and Sunil Narine with the bat can change a game in one over. But on a home pitch, with Bumrah and Boult firing, MI are clearly the favourites.
