DC’s biggest concern coming in is their top-order batting. KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka both failed in the opener against LSG, and if they misfire again against Bumrah and Boult with the new ball, Delhi could face an early crisis.
However, the spinners have been a dominant force at the venue, and that is expected to continue. Seamers will get bounce and carry early on, providing ample opportunities to take breakthroughs during the powerplay overs. For DC, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel are perfectly equipped for this surface. For MI, the combination of Bumrah in the powerplay and Santner in the middle overs makes them a beautifully balanced bowling unit.
